Massey Mako Sharks

The Massey Mako Sharks is a community-focused summer swim team offering a fun, supportive, and competitive environment for swimmers of all experience levels.

Registration at a Glance

• Standard Registration: $150 per swimmer (+ processing fees)
• Sibling Discount: 15% off additional siblings (standard registration only)
• Late Registration: $170 per swimmer (after April 1)

📌 Registration opens February 25 for returning swimmers and March 1 for new swimmers.

Season Dates & Time Commitment

• Season runs: May 4 – late June
• Practices begin: May 4
  • Afternoon practices while school is in session
  • Morning practices starting June 1
• Swim meets: Two per week in June (Mondays & Thursdays)
• Final meets:
  • 6 & Under: Thursday, June 25
  • 7 & Over Finale: Saturday, June 27

Swimmer Readiness

• No formal tryouts
• Swimmers must be able to swim one full length of the pool unassisted
• Coaches focus on building technique, confidence, and endurance throughout the season

Volunteer Commitment

The Mako Sharks is powered by our families.

• Each family is required to earn 6 volunteer points during the season
• Points are earned by volunteering at meets and team events
• The Mock Meet is used for volunteer training and does not earn points

Team Gear

• Team suit, cap, and practice equipment are required
• The 2026 team suit remains the same
