Important Massey Mako Swim Team Updates - Suit Fittings & Volunteer Opportunity!
Good Afternoon Massey Mako Families,
Welcome to our inaugural swim season! I'm Rachel Cameron, your Team Parent, and I'm looking forward to a great summer with all of you. You'll be receiving emails from me throughout the season with important information, and I'll be at all the meets to help ensure everything runs smoothly. For those who don't know me, my daughter is a second grader at Doby's and is VERY excited about swim team and the extra pool time this summer!
I have two important updates for you today:
1. Team Suit Fittings:
As you know, all swimmers will need to wear the official team suit and cap to participate in meets. If you're new to competitive swimming, please be aware that these suits are sized and fit differently than standard retail swimwear. Don't worry – we've got you covered!
We have scheduled three fitting sessions at the clubhouse where your swimmer can try on a suit similar to the team suit. Please see the attached image for a preview of the suit.
For your information, the girls' suit is priced at $30 and the boys' suit at $22.
Please sign up for one slot per family for our swimsuit fittings, which will be held from April 6th to April 8th, using the SignUpGenius link below:
Important Note: The team suit is specifically for swim meets and is different from the suit your swimmer will wear for daily practice. In the coming days, you will have the opportunity to purchase a practice suit along with other team spirit items through our online team store. More details on this will follow soon as we finalize everything.
2. Volunteer Coordinator Needed:
We are currently seeking a dedicated volunteer to fill a very important role for our team this summer: Volunteer Coordinator.
The Volunteer Coordinator plays a crucial role during swim meets by ensuring all volunteer positions are filled and running smoothly. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet your volunteer hour requirements and make a significant positive impact on the success of the Massey Makos' first season!
