Tent & Swimmer Flow Expectations

To help meets run smoothly and ensure swimmers are where they need to be on time:

  • Swimmers are required to remain in their assigned age-group tent until all of their events have been completed.
  • Once a swimmer is finished with all events for the day, they must check out with their assigned tent parent before leaving.
    • This helps us avoid searching for swimmers who may still be needed for relays or other events.
  • Parents should remain in the designated spectator/viewing areas during the meet.

Don’t worry—your swimmers are in great hands! Our trained volunteers and tent parents will do their best to guide swimmers to the Clerk of Course on time for each event.

These procedures help:

  • Keep the meet running on schedule
  • Reduce confusion on deck
  • Create positive team bonding time with teammates

Helpful Meet-Day Tips

  • Arrive early for warm-ups and check-in
  • Listen for announcements and watch for event numbers
  • Encourage effort and sportsmanship—every swim is a win
  • Coaches and volunteers are available to help guide swimmers, especially first-timers
  • Label everything (towels, bags, water bottles!)

For First-Time Families

It’s completely normal for the first meet to feel overwhelming. The Mock Meet and early-season meets are designed to help swimmers—and parents—learn the flow in a low-pressure, supportive environment.

If you’re unsure about anything on meet day, just ask! Our coaches, tent parents, and volunteers are always happy to help.
