Weather Policy
All teams must report for scheduled meets regardless of the weather. Meets can be postponed by mutual consent of the clubs involved.
Thunder
- In the event of thunder, swimmers will spend 30 minutes out of the water.
- You may remain on deck if no lightning is detected.
Lightning
- In the event of lightning, swimmers and their families must clear the deck for 30 minutes.
- Everyone must go to their cars for safety. Please avoid large open parking lots, trees, and light poles during this time.
- We ask all families to stay within a 15-minute radius of the pool so the meet can resume as soon as the weather clears.
Important Note: The Community Center has limited space and can only accommodate coaches and staff during weather delays.
Postponements and Cancellations
If a meet is postponed, families will be notified of the rescheduled date and time via email and text within 24 hours.
- If weather delays exceed one hour, meet officials may decide to cancel or reschedule the event. Updates will be provided promptly once a decision is made.
Extreme Weather Conditions
- In the event of extreme weather, such as heavy rain, hail, or tornado warnings, meet officials may suspend or cancel the event to ensure everyone’s safety. Updates will be provided as soon as possible.
Thank You for Your Patience
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during weather delays. Your safety is our top priority, and we thank you for working with us to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
