Hi Mako Sharks families!
We’ve got a big and exciting week ahead as we roll into Memorial Day weekend and gear up for our first-ever swim season. Here's everything you need to know:
Monday, May 27 – No Practice
Enjoy the holiday with your family and friends! We’ll see you back at the pool on Tuesday.
Team Building & Cap Ceremony – Tuesday, May 28 | 4:00–8:00 PM
Where: Pool & Clubhouse Lawn
We're so excited to host our first-ever team event — a fun-filled evening to celebrate our swimmers, hand out team caps, and help our new team grow closer before our first meet!
Practice Sessions + Cap Ceremony
Join us for swim practice by age group, followed by our official cap ceremony:
- 4:00–4:45 PM – Session 1 (6 & unders)
- 4:45–5:30 PM – Session 2 (7–10 year olds)
- 5:30–5:45 PM – Cap Ceremony (Poolside – everyone!)
- 5:45–6:45 PM – Session 3 (11 & up)
Cap Ceremony at 5:30 PM
We’ll come together poolside to celebrate our swimmers and hand out their official team caps. Don’t miss this special moment!
Tie-Dye & Lawn Games
Please bring a plain white t-shirt from home (no team shirts!)
- 4:00–4:45 PM – Session 2 swimmers tie-dye
- 4:45–5:30 PM – Session 1 & 3 swimmers tie-dye
We’ll rotate through 10 tie-dye stations while enjoying games like corn hole and KanJam — feel free to bring your favorites to share!
Little Philly’s Water Ice Truck
Serving from 5:00–8:00 PM – a portion of the proceeds support the team!
Private Lessons Still Available!
Perfect for extra stroke help before our first meet.

Mock Meet – Thursday, May 30
Our very first mock meet is this week, and we can’t wait to see our swimmers put their skills into action!
Declare Your Swimmer’s Attendance:
Please log into your SwimTopia account and declare your swimmer no later than Wednesday!
- Go to “Meets & Events”
- Find the meet & click “Meet Entry”
- Click “Edit” next to your swimmer’s name
- Choose “Attending” or “Not Attending”
- Add event preferences or notes for coaches if needed

Volunteers Needed!
The mock meet is a chance to train for your volunteer role this season — we can't run meets without your help, and this is the perfect way to learn the ropes!
