Hi Mako Sharks Families & Future Mako Sharks Families,
We’re excited to invite you to our Massey Mako Sharks Parent Meeting & Info Session as we gear up for another incredible summer swim season!
Please excuse any duplicate emails — we’re sending this across a few groups to make sure we cover all of our bases and reach both new and returning families.

This meeting is designed for both new and returning families and is the best way to kick off the season feeling informed, prepared, and excited about what’s ahead.
🦈 What We’ll Cover
For New Families:
We’ll walk through what summer swim is all about and how the Mako Sharks program works — from practices and meets to team culture, communication, and volunteer involvement.
For Returning Families:
We’ll share what’s new and improved for Year 2, including program updates, meet enhancements, volunteer structure, and ways we’re continuing to grow the team, strengthen our community, and support our swimmers both in and out of the pool.
Meeting Topics Include:
• Practice schedule, meets, and league expectations
• What’s new for Year 2
• Volunteer roles & family involvement
• Committee Chair opportunities
• Team values, culture, and swimmer development
• Q&A with the coaching and leadership team
📣 A Few Helpful Notes
Kids:
Because we anticipate a large group and want parents to be able to focus, we kindly ask that children stay home if possible.
Registration:
Registration for returning families will be opening soon, so this meeting is a great opportunity to get your questions answered before sign-ups begin.
Committee Chairs:
We are currently looking to fill several Committee Chair roles. Chairing a committee fulfills your family’s full volunteer commitment for the season — we’ll share more details at the meeting for anyone interested.
